A recent study, "Young Businesses Are Critical to U.S. Job Creation", Report Finds, conducted by the Kaufman foundation, found that young companies between 3 to 5 years of age are responsible for generating the greatest number of new jobs. Looking toward these young companies for the source of their inspiration and investment focus could be a direction to turn before "leaving town". They have surveyed the landscape, executed business plans and and found a niche in today's marketplace. Retooling, relearning and partnering with this segment is worth considering.
